CGI Announces Year Round Baseball Program!

:: PRESS RELEASE (pdf)

Complete Game Institute and its proud staff would like to cordially invite your son to try-out for the 2010 CGI Braves North Elite Baseball Organization. Try-out's will be conducted specifically for ages 13-16 only (14U - 16 U teams, consisting of three separate teams). The first try-out will be December 12th inside St. Anthony's student center. The second try-out will be December 19th inside of CGI.

Try-outs will be held in two distinct phases, which will include a full range of skill evaluations and a ‘diagnostical’ workup of each player. Position players will be evaluated with regard to their running speed, agility, fielding range, arm strength, throwing accuracy, dynamic core strength and flexibility as well as bat speed, barrel accuracy and overall strike zone judgment. Pitchers will be evaluated with regard to their overall pitching mechanics, ball flight, command of all pitches, velocity and mound presence. There will be a minimum of 30 different skill sets and tests to generate a cumulative score and rating for each player in order to complete our overall evaluation.

The two phases will be held at different locations. The initial phase will be held exclusively at the state of the art, 170,000 square foot St. Anthony's High School Student Center. This is an indoor turf field conveniently located in South Huntington, Long Island. The second phase will be hosted at CGI, in our conveniently located East Northport facility, which consists of 8 batting cage tunnels, and over 7000 square feet of open turf area in addition to our on site strength training center.

Please read our press release for more details, which contains details pertaining to tryouts as well as other relevant information. Due to a large number of previous requests and inquiries, we are expecting a nice turnout, so we look forward to a fair and competitive group of tryout sessions.

Please pass this information along to any other interested parent or player that you feel may be searching for an instructional-based organization, that has a uniquely successful year round training matrix and skill development curriculum, which is supported by a long history of unprecedented results and success.
