St. Anthony's Baseball Combine...
Powered & Operated by CGI

Read the reviews of 2009's First Annual Baseball Combine

Questionnaire:

How does the combine compare to other camps your son has been too over this summer or past summers?
This is great it is more like a boot camp, by far one of the best he was ever at.

Are there any suggestions for the combine? I can honestly say that everyone is doing a great job; I even heard they got radar gunned today which is so cool!

Questionnaire:

How did you feel the organization of the combine has been?
I think it was well put together.

Is your son being taught new skills and learning?  Yes, he said he is learning new things every day.

Are you happy with our staff and the number of coaches to players' ratio (Less than 8:1)? Yes, that is an excellent ratio.  My son knew some of the staff from gong to CGI previously and was happy with all the coaches.

Hi Staff,

My son Ryan LOVES your camp.  Originally he didn't want to go because in the past he had gone to other baseball camps and found that the first few days were good and then he hated it by the end of the week.

He loves the fact that they are not just playing baseball games.  He has been playing baseball for 8 years and thought he knew it all, until he came to you guys.  One of the coaches showed him a new stance for hitting and he can not believe how much better he is hitting the ball now!!!  Yesterday, he had a great workout and was impressed on being able to complete it, today he is feeling the pain!!!!

He loves the coaches and is meeting a lot of nice boys.  This not only helped him in baseball, but it helped him to be more comfortable about starting school in September at St. Anthony's!

I have nothing but good things to say about your camp and would definitely do it again.

Thank you!

Dear Staff,

Thank you for the opportunity to give you feedback with this questionnaire.

I think the program is outstanding!  My son has been to several baseball camps and I think the intensity of this program is terrific. The work on core development, conditioning and refining skills is definitely needed for this age group. This is different because there is a great staff there and they are really learning and developing.  I have only had a few minutes to watch but I think the ratio is great and location is fabulous!

We would definitely be interested in a second week!!  Keep us on your roster.

Questionnaire:

How did you feel the organization of the combine has been?
My son Patrick felt that the camp was organized and I felt that the organization was very responsive with the enrollment process.

How does the combine compare to other camps your son has been too over this summer or past summers?  His assessment is that he is enjoying the camp and feels that the workouts and drills are designed for serious player which he is.

Have you been able to watch any of the combine?  If so, what did you take away from it?  Yes, I was able to watch the hitting clinic and liked the command that the trainers had over the campers and liked the drills.

Coach

The combine has been excellent so far. My son, Tyler has not only learned but comes home everyday with a huge smile after a tremendous workout. That in itself is a tough task. He has made several friends and really enjoys listening and learning from the coaches. He hasn't stop talking about his coach Anthony Italiano and what a great help he has been thus far, helping him with his catching skills. What separates your combine/camp from others is the fact that he is being conditioned and he likes it!...THANK YOU!...Also, the homework assignment on building a team based on On Base Percentage/salary was great it really opened his eyes to different aspects of the professional game.

The location is great, as an incoming freshman it helps him become familiar with the school, the field, and the coaches. If anything ever materlizes Tyler would love to do any other programs associated with CGI and this staff.

Questionnaire:

How did you feel the organization of the combine has been?
I feel that there was a great deal of organization at the combine.  Check in on the first day went very smoothly and it seemed that the groups were pre-arranged and each child has a number.  This enabled the coaches to get right to work without the kids standing around waiting for direction.  Stephen liked rotating through the stations and getting to meet a new coach at each station.  In my opinion this keeps things interesting and moving.

Is your son being taught new skills and learning?  Yes.  He as been working with CGI coaches for about half of a year, so he was familiar with some of what was being taught, however, he has been able to implement what he has been learning and get direction and evaluation.

How does the combine compare to other camps your son has been too over this summer or past summers?  My son likes that everyone at the combine is there because baseball is their main sport.  The kids are there because they want to learn and improve, not because there parents just wanted to throw them into a camp for the week.  The kids seem to be taking it more seriously than the average baseball camp (he likes that).  The only other baseball camp he attended THIS summer is Boot Camp with Rob, and he feels the same about that.  He is a boy that is very dedicated to improving in baseball and he feels that the combine has been a wonderful environment to do that.

Have you been able to watch any of the combine?  If so, what did you take away from it?  Only a little, but things seem very organized.  I am glad that my son has been able to meet all of the coaches that he will (hopefully) be interacting with over the next four years.  The coaches seem to be getting to know the kids and have been very positive, even when they have to correct the child’s techniques.

Are you happy with our staff and the number of coaches to players' ratio (Less than 8:1)?  Yes.  He has received a lot of direction and feed back from all of the coaches.  I am also happy with the level of coaching.

My son has been going to baseball camp since he is four years old and this is far and away the best week of baseball he has ever had.
